Listed by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, Singer is one of the world's foremost thinkers on ethics and a professor of philosophy at the University of Princeton. His utilitarian standpoint and long career specialising in the field of applied ethics means that he is no stranger to controversy, having written and argued about the ethics of food, globalisation, George W. Bush (with whom he shares a birthday) and secularism. The Animal Rights and Wrongs show is Presented by Debra Ashton and Eric Wolff every Saturday from 11am On Wellington Access Radio 783am.
