About the Programme

The Wellington People's Centre has been working since 1992 to provide affordable health services and free advocacy services. We believe that everyone should have access to services to meet their basic human needs. For a membership fee of only $2.50 per week you can access our wide range of low-cost or no-cost health services. Your membership fee helps cover our basic running costs and keep our charges as low as possible. Becoming a member of the People's Centre means you can access these low-cost or free services:

• Medical

• Dental

• Counselling

• Massage Therapy

• Hand, Foot, and Facial Care

• Social English Classes

The Wellington People's Centre also provides free advocacy services to everyone and can provide an advocate if you are having problems with your benefit or your employer. We offer:

• Benefit Rights

• Workers’ Rights

• Benefit Rights training

With specialised advocacy for:

• Refugees & Migrants

• Mental Health Consumers
