About this role
Wellington Access Radio has a rare opportunity to join our small team in the role of Community Production Coordinator.
We’re on the lookout for someone to assist in recording programmes, editing and uploading past broadcasts, supporting users of Wellington Access Radio, assisting in managing the weekend operations of the station and general production administration and studio housekeeping functions.
Working for a non-profit with a small team you’ll need to be comfortable multi-tasking and turning your hand to all areas of the station.
The role includes:
You will be one of five staff, and report directly to the Station Manager. You will liaise with operational staff, volunteers, and the community.
The position is 25 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday.
Skills and experience
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however interest, a great attitude, and willingness to learn will be taken into consideration while hiring for this position.

Wellington Access Radio 106.1FM is the region’s community and diversity broadcaster and podcast production studio. Funded by NZ on Air, as a public service, not-for-profit and non-commercial broadcaster the station delivers over 80 programmes every week.
Programming features local arts, culture, NZ music, women, students, youth, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. We broadcast in over 20 languages with volunteer programme makers from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.
Based on Ghuznee St in Pōneke Wellington, the station broadcasts to Wellington, Porirua, and the Hutt Valley on 106.1FM and provides a digital live stream and podcasts at www.accessradio.org.nz
