We feature an album created by Aotearoa-based bands.

Fridays 7pm

Friday May 2nd:

like a peeled orange sinks in water – Synthetic Children

A beautiful and unapologetic expression of transness from Te Papaioea musician Synthetic Children. An incredible releasing and unleashing of voice through the experience of gender affirming vocal processing. And this is not just concept or righteous expression, it is fucking good music too.

Layered and subtle, the tracks hold you in a darkened reverberant space, gently pulsing while high frequencies ping forward and present themselves in fleeting and teasing passes. And voices talk and sing amongst themselves while we struggle to eavesdrop. We exist on the edges of this album and listen in.
